The swingyde is a plastic tool that attaches to your grip on every club in your bag. There are even configurations to help with putting and even ways to that allow you to use two at the same time for wedge shots. For $29.95, it’s money well spent. I used this in my initial trials at playing and learning golf – but I found that it’s good maintenance when your swing starts losing its mark. This fits easily in your bag for practice sessions. The only other useful training aid that does this is the Momentus travel iron.
The Swingyde is the best golf training aid I’ve ever used. It provides instant feedback on both your backswing and followthrough. Not only did it help me fix my slice, but I now use it before every round as part of my warm-up routine to ensure that I haven’t fallen back into bad habits.
I had used this item with an instructor and it was easy to see and feel the correct position of the hands/arms in the backswing. He said it was the only aide he recommends for purchase, even though there are many, many types on the market. I can see why this is all you need to correct a misalignment of the hands in the backswing.
